Randomness of the Day and quick Review of the Maybelline Lash Stiletto Volume Mascara

So, today's randomness is just a picture I took with my BB(Storm II in case u r wondering) after trying on my new Essie nailpolish in "Bahama Mama"(which my manicurist bought for me from a tradeshow for only 5 €).

Now on to the quick review...!I looove this mascara. It is affordable, buildable, it has great stain power, it stays on for hours, it comes off relatively easily and it gives a good amount of length, volume and curve to my lashes. The wand is a little different but not too difficult to work with. The only downside is that once it is about to run out it might get a little clumpy. That is it in a nutshell!Feel free to ask me any specific questions you might have!!

I hope you find this post interesting or helpfull (or BOTH!) :D

Christmas nails!!!

Good afternoon my lovely followers!

I hope you are having a great weekend wherever you are and whatever you're doing!
I did my nails myself 2 days ago because my manicurist didn't have time to squeeze me in to her schedule before the weekend. So I thought I'd paint them a christmassy color combo ,which I then thought, might be interesting to share with you.
What I used:
1. Barry M basecoat, topcoat &Nail hardener as a base.
2. Barry M nailpaint in "Racing green"
3. MAC nailpolish in "Forbidable!"(from the Venomous Villains collection)on my ring finger.
4. China Glaze 'Fast Forward' top coat.

And...this is what my nails look like

Hope you like it!

Homemade lip scrub!

So, in the interest of saving money I made my own lip scrub...!
It is very easy to make and there is a very good chance you all have the ingredients needed, in your house this very moment!
Let's start off with what you are going to need...

1. Vaseline(I used the traditional vaseline and a pea-sized amount of Vaseline "Rosy Lips" lip therapy).
2. A tea spoon of sugar (I mixed white sugar and brown sugar)
3. Something to mix the ingredients with. I used a small wooden stick but you can even use a cotton bud if you want.
4. A clean & sanitised container.
p.s. The Christmas decorations in the background are optional ;) :P

Now on to the process:
Firstly put some vaseline in the container (approximately enough to fill 2/3 of the container). I added the pea-sized amount of the pink vaseline to change the color of the scrub and give it a pleasant rosy smell.

Then add the sugar in the container and mix the ingredients. Make sure all the sugar has been incorporated into the vaseline. Your scrub should look something like this:

And you're...DONE!
For tips on how to use it just ask me...!
Hopefully you'll find this useful and very easy to make.

Greetings my dear followers ;)

Holiday special Vol I

Hello my lovely followers!!!!

I have a look for you today!I created this for the holiday season. It is pretty simple really and quite wearable especially if you skip the glitter eyeliner.
This is what it looks like! Please bear in mind that my camera is not an HD one so the colors look somewhat muted.

What I used :

ELF corrective concealer for under the eyes
Urban Decay Primer Potion
A frosty white e/s on the inner half of the lid (I used Heartbreaker Cosmetics "It's magic" form the New Love line)
A taupe e/s on the outter half & in the crease (I used a taupe from my NYX "Champaign & Caviar" palette)
On the outter corner use a darker color of your choice(I used "Socialite" mineral e/s by ELF)
Blend it with a tapered/ blending brush (I used MAC 217) so that it looks seemless.
Add a black eyeliner of your choice and create a slight cat-eye (I used SLEEK dip-it liquid liner).
Then I used a Collection 2000 Glam Crystals Dazzling gel liner in No1 "Glitz". I put this on my bottom lash line.I also dragged it towards the outter corner to meet the black eyeliner.
Last but not least curl your lashes and add your favorite black mascara (I used Maybelline's Last Stilletto Volume).

I hope you like it and I'll definately come up with a couple more looks for this festive season including a New Year's eve look.

Have a great week everyone!!!!

If you think you've gone through all of your Urban Decay Primer Potion think twice...!

Hello my lovely followers!!

This is going to be a quick post on the Urban Decay Primer Potion! As some of you might already know the UDPP is an eyeshadow primer. It is an excellent product however the packaging(even though I can't deny that it's cute) is not functional.
So, once I thought I had finished my first little bottle of it I put it in my misc drawer. It sat there for ages waiting for me to decide whether it was worth depotting. About a week ago a friend of mine was depotting her own bottle and she encouraged me to do the same thing. I am not going to go into how I did it because I haven't found the perfect (or safest, for that matter)way to do it yet. However I promise that when I do I will share it with you guys.
After I cut into it I ended up scooping out a TON of product!Have a look at these pictures and believe me when I say you NEED to depot your UDPP!!

Have a great weekend guys!! :) xoxo

ELF Haul (hits and misses)

Hey all!

I haven't been blogging lately because I find myself not having time to come up with looks. Also, I tend to only have time to take pictures in the evening which is not really the ideal time to take pictures. So I come back to you guys today with a haul from ELF. This was my first purchase from ELF and I can say with some confidence I will be buying from them in the future! The products got here really fast and everything I ordered was in the package!
Now, I am going to talk about each product individually and share with you my hits and misses.

Starting with the mineral line I got 3 items (from left to right): The Elf mineral booster(large/sheer), ELF mineral blush in Coral & elf mineral eyeshadow in Socialite. A definate HIT!All three of these products are great!I will definately buy more of the mineral eyeshadows and blushes! Please let me know if you recommend any colors.

Then I got two all over color sticks in "Golden Peach"(right) and "Lilac petal" (left)! These are great for a quick blush touch-up(especially "lilac petal). I personally use "Golden Peach" as a cheek highlighter whenever I have peachy-toned blushes on.Mostly a hit

Now let me tell you about the 5 studio products (2 face products,2 brushes and an eyeliner) I got!
1.Cream eyeliner in "Coffee". A nice product that doesn't smudge or smear and has good pigmentation and formula.A HIT it is...;)

2. Elf powder and Fan brushes!Love them both. They are definate HITS!

3.Corrective concealer and Complexion Perfection Powder. I couldn't tell you whether these are hits or misses because I have barely used them. I will come back with a review though ;)

Now the last products I got were: A nailpolish in "Golden Goddess" (MISS), a therapeutic conditioning lip balm in "Blueberry creme"(A big MISS...I am so dissapointed) and a highshine lipgloss in "Flirt" (HIT).

This order was my gift to myself for my 25th birthday which was on the 2nd of November and I think it was a money well spent! Let me know if you have anyof these products or other ELF products and what you think of them!!!

Ta-da!!

Halloween Take II, III & IV

Hey guys,

So since it is Halloween in a couple of days I thought : why not create a couple of wearable and easy to create looks for you. Since Halloween is an alien concept in Greece I thought it would be a perfect time for me and my friends to experiment with looks for this year's carnival. So, last week I invited 3 dear friends of mine to my house and asked them to "model" some looks for me.

"I'm a Barbie girl" :p
The first one I did on Natasa was a "Barbie" look. I got inspired to do this by Natasa's love for hot pink items and clothing. It is pretty simple to re-create.Pale skin (use a foundation that is lighter than your skin tone), pink eye-shadow that doesn't extend past the crease, and light green shadow to line the top and bottom lashlines. Finish the look off with a light pink lipgloss and hot pink blush. Natasa already had a blonde wig so she put that on as well.

"Jungle Queen"
For my second model, Katerina, I chose a look that would bring out her wild side,so to speak. She naturally has big curly hair and a roaring personality so I thought we should do a Jungle chic/Jungle Queen look. This is a little more complicated mainly because you need to be patient with the cheetah patterns which will take a long time to do. So what I did here is I foiled a tan coloured loose shadow and placed it all over the lid as well I extended it on the temple(right side) and cheek (left side). Then I took a gel eye liner and created the cheetah pattern. Also make sure you contour your face with bronzer so that your bone structure stands out and use a dark toned blush or a sparkly/golden bronzer as a blush(which is what I did). As for the lips I used a peachy golden color gloss.

"Jungle King"
So I am proud to present a look for a guy. Whether you have a boyfriend who is willing to be made into your "Jungle King" (given of course you are the Queen), or whether you have a friend who would look good as a lion this is the perfect look for him. For this look you are going to need some brown/neutral eyeshadows, a medium brown eye or lip pencil, some netting and a brush of your choice. We want the forehead to be darker than the rest of the face so I mixed a couple of browns and applied them on the forehead and temples. On one of the temples I used the pencil to create animal print shapes and then i used the netting on the cheeks with some brown colors to create a dirty/muddy effect.

I welcome any questions you might have. I hope you enjoyed this post!

Have a great day!!!

Back to MAC

Hello my lovely followers!

Today I woke up to the first proper autumn morning in Athens. It is depressing yet soothing at the same time. I am an autumn/winter person even though I enjoy the summer. I am also one of these people that love British weather, lack of sun and everything...;)

So, on to today's post...!
I did my first "back to mac" last week which I found to be a very exciting thing. I wasn't sure which lipstick I wanted so two of my very best friends helped me pick "Speed Dial"(cremesheen).

1.Speed dial!

I have more empty containers in my back 2 mac drawer so I have started thinking about the next lipstick I am going to "trade them in for"...!Let me know if you have any favorites!

Bazaar Haul!

Hello my lovely readers,

It is June which means I am free to buy make-up again and so I did...!
I went to this bazaar which happens in Athens once a year at the Estee Lauder Offices and it is a three day event. One can find there many products from different companies (mainly discontinued products). You need to be very patient in order to get in and also in order to look around. You also need to be somewhat lucky. Anyhow...!This is what I managed to get...!

note: I forgot to include an estee lauder lipstick in this photo but I have individial pictures of all the products.
So...let's get on with the haul!!!

1. M.A.C. Naked Honey shower gel and the naked honey skin salve!I was really happy to get my hands on some naked honey products.

2. M.A.C. Hello Kitty beauty Powder in Pretty Baby(!!!!!!). I don't own any hello kitty products so you can imagine my joy when I picked up the last one from the shelf.

3.M.A.C. "Teal" pigment. I've wanted this for the longest time and I didn't want to spend that much money on a pigment. But once I saw it was less than 10 euros I thought I should pick it up.

4.Michael Kors "Island" perfume. This is a light summer scent.I really do like it!

5. Last but NOT least the Estee Lauder Signature Lipstick in "Perfect Pink"

I hope you liked my haul!!If you have any of these products then let me know what you think of them!!!:D
