Clarins Goodies

Hello all,

First of all let me just say a huge thank you to everyone who entered our collaborative giveaway!!Congratulations, once again, to the winners and just to let you guys know I will be having a 300+ followers giveaway in about a week or so, so stay tuned for that!!
Now, on to today's post...I have accumulated some Clarins goodies and I wanted to share them with you all. Clarins, for those of you who are not familiar with it, is a high-end skincare and make-up brand(mainly skincare). I remember when my mother used to go to one of their salons and get treatments done. She was always happy with the results and used to love their products. Years went by and I am, now, in my mid-twenties and ready to step-up my game as far as taking care of my skin, goes.
Now, before I move on, I would like to clarify that I paid for ALL of these products with my own money. I would, also, like to thank the lovely Sofia who works at the Clarins counter at Sephora in Psyhico. Sofia helped me pick out these products and she also gave me several product samples to try out.
So...here are the products...!
So (from left to right) we have the Toning Lotion with Camomile (is smells sooooo gooood). This is a lotion meant for people with normal to dry skin but I've used up a sample of it and it suits my combination skin perfect.

Next I got a much needed eye gel. This is a the Eye Contour gel meant to combat puffiness and dark circles and it does exactly that!!
Last but not least I needed a new cleansing product and I thought I should give the "Pure Melt Cleansing Gel" a go. I can't really tell you what I think of this product yet, since I haven't been using it for more than a couple of days but I would be more than happy to do a review, in a week or two, if you guys want.

Now, on to the samples I got with my purchase...

From left to right: Beauty Flash Balm(I cannot wait to try this as a make-up primer...I heard it is AMAZING), The Camomile Tonic Lotion(great for travelling), HydraQuench Cream-Mask and the Daily energiser Cleansing Gel.
You gotta love samples...;) ;)

That is all for my Clarins goodies...!!Let me know what you think....!!

xoxo

NOTD: Sally Hansen Salon Effects "Girl Flower" & mini review.

Hey girlies...!!!
I am back from a not-so-hot holiday. Well let's face it...it sucked...!!Nonetheless I am back with a special NOTD featuring one of Sally Hansen's Salon effects styles called girl flower.
Let me say that I have had this for a long time (5 or 6 months) and didn't get around to using them until last week, right before I went on holiday.
This started of as a revolutionary product. For those of you who are not familiar with it, it is a set of real nailpolish strips. It comes in a variety of styles and colours and each package contains 16 strips in two individual packs. It also comes with a mini cuticle stick and a mini nail file/buffer.
So my mini review will be a short list of the positive and negative aspects of this product(as always)
So...
+
Longevity
A wide selection of styles
Easy application
The strips fit most nails
They look like nail varnish.

-
Difficult to remove
You cannot re-use any left-over strips since they dry our after a while
Not widely available outside the U.S.

Tip: The instructions suggest that you don't need a base coat or a top coat. Well I've done it both ways and I can tell you that I would suggest you use both if you want your manicure to last.

I find this product very exciting so I thought I should share this NOTD & a mini review with you...!I hope you liked it...!!!

Also, don't forget our collaborative giveaway which runs until the 28th of August (check it out HERE)

July Favourites!!

Hello my lovely readers!!

Better late than never...here are my July favourites. This past month I have been doing my make-up pretty much the same every day with only a few changes here and there. This is mainly because of work and lack of time. Now, without further ado here are my July favourites...!!!

As you can see there aren't that many products in there...!!
Now let's break it down...
I have been loving cheek products this past month......

From left to right: MAC 'In extra dimension' Skinfinish in "Superb", MAC Mineralized blush in "Fresh Honey", Benefit "Hervana" blush and MUFE Aqua creme in number 5.
Next up....lip products...

I have been hooked on Burt's Bees original lip balm, Chanel's "Boy" lipstick and MAC's "Watch me Simmer" & amp; Chatterbox.
Swatches(from left to right): Chatterbox, Boy, Watch Me Simmer.

Here is the last couple of things...
The Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua is still a make-up crush for me and so is the YSL faux cils mascara.
I have also been loving the Collection 2000 concealer, the Soap and Glory Supercat eyeliner pen, the MAC 235 brush, the Sephora Green Tea Eau de toilette and last but not least the Rimmel Glam'Eyes e/s quad in 004 "Green Park".

Swatches of the "Green Park" quad by Rimmel.
These were all my favourites for the month of July...!I would love to know what your favourites were...;)

I am back (with a pretty big collective U.K. haul)...

Hey guys,
I am so sorry for not posting anything for a while. However, I am back with a pretty big collective U.K. haul. I am not going to ramble on but lets just say that I went a little crazy over the last month and bought a couple of things that had been on my list for a very long time!!

Firstly, I picked up two Real Techniques brushes. Firstly, I picked up the blush brush and then the powder brush. They are both fantastic brushes and I will definitely purchase a couple of more in the future.

Then, I wanted some lip-stains from Revlon so I picked them up from Superdrug...!!
1.Revlon Just Bitten kissable Balm Stain in the colour Rendez-vous
2.Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm in the colour Flame
3.Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain and Balm in the colour Passion

Next, some more lip products....(from left to right) 17 mirror shine lipstick in "Peace", Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in "Boy", Revlon lip butters in " Raspberry Pie" and "Creme Brûlée".
Here are some swatches as well....(On the left we have the lip butters, then Peace and then Boy)

I also picked up two mascaras. I went for my all time favourite YSL Faux Cils mascara in Noir Radical and also the Rimmel Scandal eyes Show off mascara to use for day time.

I also picked up some stuff from No7 which is a brand that I really really like. So, except for my all time favorite e/s in the colour wheatsheaf I also picked up an "Amazing eye pencil" in the colour 10 Brown and a "Perfect Lips Pencil" in the colour 20 Nude.
And while I was browsing I found this Soap and Glory Supercat Liquid Black Eyeliner Pen.

Next, I picked up a NARS blush in the colour "Madly", the NARS smudge proof eyeshadow base and a couple of collection 2000 concealers(amazing and affordable).

Last but not least I picked up 3 nail varnishes...(I have a problem...I know...)
From left to right: Models Own in "Lemon Marengue", Essie in "Mint Candy Apple" and Barry M in "Dusky Mauve"

The second part of this haul is body, face and hair products...
I love "Simple" products so I picked up these 3 products...
Then, I picked up a Body Butter from RITUALS and a Palmer's Natural Bronze Body Lotion(which builds a gradual tan)
I, also, picked up a Tresseme Dry Shampoo(love this stuff) and the Coconut milk conditioner by the brand Organix(yuuuummmmyyyy)

Last but not least I picked up a Vivienne Westwood perfume called Cheeky Alice....

Aaaaand that is the end of this haul...!I hope you enjoyed this come-back post and please do let me know whether you'd like me to review any of these products...!!!! :)

xoxo
