OPI and Accessories haul!

Hello my dear readers,

How are you all? Today is the first day of my May holidays(which apparently is a thing in Russia...). I am almost done with work and I am super excited because I started doing some packing today. The weather is nice as well which is great however I seem to have been affected by some sort of allergy so I am not feeling 100%. It is not too bad to be honest especially since I don't have to go to work for another 9 days (YEAH).
Now, what I have for you today is an OPI haul. Alongside that I have 2 necklaces I bought recently and I have been really loving so I thought I would share them with you all.
Let's start with the OPI goodies and then move on to the accessories...

So I got two nail varnish colours from their permanent line which are: Dating a royal(a royal blue) and Ski Teal we drop(a dark teal colour).
I also got a mini Original Polish Remover. I love the purple remover from OPI which , I think, is called "the expert touch" so we'll see how I like this one. Last but not least I bought a full size AVOJUICE hand and body lotion in Coconut - Melon. If you like coconut and you're looking for a good hand lotion then I completely recommend this one. The only downside to this is that it contains parabens so I have decided against using it as a body lotion. And since I am on the subject I would like to BEG OPI to reformulate this and remove the parabens because it is the yummiest (is that a word?Who knows?) smelling lotion EVER.
Now on to the necklaces. ..

The one on the left is from Accessorize and it is an amazing owl (I loooove owls for those of you who don't know) and the one on the right is from H&M and it is a magnifying glass.

So that is all for now...!I hope you are enjoying Spring wherever you are and please do let me know whether you'd like to see swatches of the nail colours in a NOTD.
Also, keep and eye out for my April favourites in a couple of days.

xoxo

Review: MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in "Superb"

Hello my wonderful readers,

I have a review for you today...!I have to say I had such a difficult time writing this review due to the nature of this product. I have been using it for a while now but I haven't managed to find the perfect application or the perfect use for it. Enough with the babbling though...let's get on with the review...

+
  • The colour is reasonably wearable
  • It it also great for many different skin tones. We very rarely encounter a product that could be used by people with different skin tones.
  • It is easily blendable
  • It is extremely pigmented
  • It has a unique texture(It resembles a cream when applied but it has a powder-like finish)
  • It is a unique product all around.
-
  • The shimmer is a little chunky for every day wear. It is not glitter as such but, as I said, shimmer.
  • It can look a bit too dark (when used a highlighter) for people with very light/fair skin tones.
  • You have to apply it either with your fingers or a dense synthetic brush. Other types of brushes won't manage to pick up enough product.
  • The price
My experience:
As I said, it is a very unique product. I love the finish it gives but because I am extremely pale I think that it doesn't look as good as it would look if I was a bit tanned. I am not talking...Hawaiian Tropic...just a sun-kissed sort of tan. I think it would be amazing for summer and it can double as an all over bronzey highlighter for a night out. I have nothing similar in my collection and I am glad I managed to pick it up. If you are really really fair you can still make it work by blending it in a little more hence taking away a bit of its colour(that is how I am currently using it). And last, but not least, the brush I have been applying it with is the  Sigma P82(it is the precision round from the Sigmax line).

So...this is my review of the Extra Dimension skinfinish in the colour "Superb". I hope it was informative and helpful. If you have anything to add or any comments please do feel free to leave me a comment.

Ardell 318 and MAC penultimate eyeliner demo and mini review

Good afternoon my lovely lovely readers,

How are you? I am super busy with work, as always, but I thought I should post something for you today.
It is a 2 in one mini review and demo of two products that I bought recently and I have been, absolutely, loving.
Let's start with the lashes and move on to the eye-liner.
LASHES:
The Ardell Accent Lashes No 318 are perfect for people like me who like wearing lashes every once in a while but are not comfortable with wearing full-strip lashes, neither have the time(or the patience) to put on individuals. They are half lashes basically with a nice flair. They are super comfortable, they look natural and they very wearable.
EYE-LINER:
This is the easiest-to-apply eye-liner I have tried yet. I like thin and slightly winged lines and this allows me to get a great result easily and with minimal effort. It is one of these eye-liners that doesn't require much skill. In other words if you are a beginner or you have very little time to do your make-up then this one is definitely for you. Surely there are less expensive alternatives out there but, unfortunately, I haven't tried any of them yet. )(Suggestions are ALWAYS welcome...)

That is my mini-review and now on to the pictures/demo. I used both products to complete an eye-look and here is the result:

Products used:
MAC "Haux" e/s on the lid
MAC "Ricepaper" e/s on the brow bone
MAC "All that glitters" e/s in the center of the lid
MAC Penultimate eyeliner
Ardell accent lashes in No 318
Rimmel "Sexy curves" mascara.

Let me know what you think of these products if you have tried them..!!
My next post will be a much requested review...stay tuned!!

NOTD: OPI "Thanks a windmillion"

Hello my lovelies,

How have you been? This week has been pretty hard for me. Work was worse than usual and I have been experiencing more and more anxiety as the days go by. Easter flew by and I didn't experience any of it really , much like Christmas, which makes me a little sad but what can you do?Having said that I only have a month before I come back home and that is the only thing that keeps me going at this point.
Now on to super-happy-fun stuff...I have a NOTD for you today and it features the 2nd varnish I picked up from the OPI Holland collection. The colour is called: Thanks a windmillion and it is a pastel green. The shade is between a mint and a dusty/muted pistachio green. It is a gorgeous spring and summer shade and I have nothing like it in my collection.

Let me know if you like this colour and whether you would pick it up, given the chance!! ;) ;)
