Review: Maybelline Colour Tattoo e/s

Sooo....long time no post...!I was on holiday for a couple of days. I went to the northern part of Greece to visit my mom's side of the family and attend my niece's baptism. Now I am back and ready to attend to my blog's needs. I had this post more or less ready but I had very minimal access to the internet while I was away so I couldn't post it.
About 3 weeks ago I was doing some shopping and stumbled across the Maybelline Colour Tattoo e/s. Lots and lots of bloggers and vloggers have been raving about this product so I thought: Why not pick one up??!!
The one I ended up getting was in the colour "Permanent Taupe" and I am now lusting over another two colours.
Now this is a gel-cream e/s which can be used by itself or as a base. Personally I like putting this colour all over the lid of the eye and then go over it with a taupe e/s (for example: NYX's "Perfect Taupe"). I do this whenever I am lazy(which is most of the time) and I want a nice neutral eye with a lot of dimension. I don't always set it to be honest but if I am going to be wearing the same make-up for a very long time then I will go the extra mile and use the powder e/s on top of the Colour Tattoo.

Here are some pictures:

I really don't have any negative points for this product except , maybe, the fact that you need to work relatively fast with it since it sets quickly. Also, I kind of hoped the range of colours would be larger but I think they might expand it in the future. Other than that it is:
1. Long Lasting(don't know about the 24 hour claim but it does last a good 10 hours on me)
2. Pigmented (A little goes a long way)
3. Blendable
4. Reasonably priced(I wanted to get a paintpot to use in a similar way but this is a cheaper alternative)
5. Easy to use(I put it on with my finger and then blend with an e/s brush)

I hope you liked this short review. Let me know what you think of this product(if you've tried it).

p.s. I bought this product with my own money. :)

How to wear a bright lip...!

Hey guys...I know I have been posting like crazy this week but I am off to see family tomorrow so I don't know if I'll be able to post anything until next Thursday hence all these posts!!I am still packing because my day was very busy so I am not ready yet but I thought I should do this post before getting into the last part of packing(which is make-up and shoes)!!
Now I did this post on how to wear a bright lip or what eye look to pair with a bright lip. I have a love-hate relationship with bright lipsticks to be honest but this summer I thought I would start wearing my brights for a change...!So, as I was trying out different eye looks to pair with bright lips I came down to two that are classic but also simple enough. I believe that one of the two should dominate a make-up look so I went with a colourless eye with or without eye-liner and some relatively big lashes. It is nothing difficult or extraordinary but I think that it works very well so I thought I should share it with you.
Here are some pictures...
The two lipsticks I chose for this "experiment" were "Chatterbox" (top) and "Watch me simmer"(bottom) both by MAC.

TOP: A wash of a champaign coloured e/s, some eyeliner(a mixture of a black gel liner and a taupe cream shadow) and one coat of mascara
BOTTOM: A wash of a champaign coloured e/s, two coats of mascara and two individual lashes in the outter corner of the eye.

That is all for today...!I hope you liked this post! Please let me know whether you have any tips about wearing bright lipsticks. Also...I want to know what you think about me getting my moles removed. I have been thinking about it for a couple of months now and since I put up a picture where they are visible I'd like to know what you think...!
Hope you're well and that I will be able to post something before getting back home. I have taken pictures with me and I will try to hunt down a computer so I can post something...fingers crossed...!

Review: Garnier Ambre Solaire Golden Protect Sunscreen Lotion

Hello my dear readers,

How are you this Friday evening? I spent the last hour or so organising pictures for new blog posts. I have 4 lined-up already and I am hoping that I will be able to post them all within this next week. Today, I have a review for you featuring a product I received from Garnier and it is the "Garnier Ambre Solaire Golden Protect Sunscreen Lotion".
I wasn't asked to do a review nor did I receive any form of payment/reimbursement for this review. My loyalty is to my readers and my readers alone....!
Having said that let's get into the review...
Firstly let me tell you about the product. It is a SPF 30 sunscreen lotion with a golden(slightly shimmery) finish. The first thing I noticed is that is smells PHENOMENAL. I mean I've had nice-smelling sunscreen lotions before but this one smells...well...it smells like summer...!I don't really know how else to describe it.
Now the first problem I have with it is that it is SPF 30. To some of you this might seem like a lot but I am pale(actually my skin is borderline yellow...) with apparent veining and moles. So, in order not to get sunburnt I have to use SPF 50. So, when I first saw the product I thought that I wouldn't be able to use on my entire body. However, I thought I could use it as a leg sunscreen since my legs are much less sensitive than my upper body and I could get away with using a lower SPF. That I did and let me tell you that it worked like a dream. The slight shimmer looks nice on the legs and it stills protects my skin from the sun.
Here are some pictures of the product followed by the pros and cons as always...!

  +
The amazing smell

It is not greasy and it sinks into the skin quickly

The SPF is just right for my legs

-
The SPF is not high enough for my upper body (arms, back, chest, neck)

The product has a range which includes SPFs of 10, 20, and 30 but not higher

..............................................................................................................
Now, the shimmer particles are neither here nor there for me. I wouldn't choose a shimmery sunscreen for my upper body however I quite like the finish on my legs. I think this sunscreen is better suited for slightly tanner skin-tones or more sun-tolerant skins. If you are fair and your skin doesn't tolerate the sun then I wouldn't recommend this as an all over sunscreen. But, if you have a medium skin-tone and you don't mind the fine shimmer then this is definitely a product for you.
I hope this review helped if you were thinking about picking this product up. If you already own it let me know what you think...!Do you agree or disagree??
xoxo
