Carnival 2011 "Black Swan" look

A couple of weeks ago I watched the film "Black Swan" and I absolutely loved it.I think Natalie Portman is one of the best actresses of her generation and she was plain extraordinary in this film.
So, in the interest of starting a series of posts including ideas about the upcoming carnival I bring you this look.
There are tons of tutorials out there some of which are really good and give you a step-by-step explanation of how to achieve this look and others are less explanatory.
I didn't really intend for this to be a tutorial however I would be more than happy to create one for you guys if you ask me to. To be honest it is not that difficult to do. I mainly used black gel liner, an angled eye-liner brush, a white khol liner, a silver khol liner, a dark red lipgloss and black eye-shadow. So if you want to know exactly how I created it leave me a comment below and I will create a tutorial-type post.
Hope you liked this look...!I certainly had fun creating it! :)

Hope you're all well!

xoxo

  1. Girl, I'm clicking and clicking and all I can see is the last pic with the lips :( Is there any problem with my server?

The lips look great though, dark and 3-dimensional!

  5. yeah!!!There was sth going on with the pics...!I just re-uploaded them and prayed that it would work.

Thanks so much for your comments guys!I thought I'd give it a go. I am glad you liked the lips. I used an ancient Dior gloss(Diorific Plastic Shine in "Memorable Violet"). I am pretty sure it is not available but any lipstick that resembles that color will work just fine I think. :)
