Review: Maybelline "One by One" Volum' Express mascara

Hello my lovelies!How are you?
I have a review for you guys today. I have to start by saying that I am a fan of Maybelline mascaras.I have tried several of them in the past and they are definately my favorite drugstore brand mascaras. One of my all-time favorite Maybelline mascara is the "Lash stiletto volume" on which I, also, have a mini review *here* .
Now, today I have a photo-review for you(if there is such a thing :P). I took before and after pictures as well as photos of the product itself so you can judge for yourself as well as reading my review. So, here are the photos...
The product/packaging

No mascara

Shu Uemura eye-lash curler

Lashes curled

One coat of mascara

Two coats of mascara
Gorgeous color and packaging
Jet black
Effortless application
Nice formula
No extra curl
Not an evening mascara
A tiny tiny bit of clumping when the second coat is applied(however this is easily "fixed" with a lash comb)
All in all I wouldn't say that it is an HG product but I do like it a lot. Do keep in mind that I only bought it a couple of days ago because I ran out of mascara. So, for the last couple of days I have been trying it out and playing with it and let me tell you that it also works great as an evening mascara if you coat it with another, more dramatic lash product.
That is all I have to say for this product and I really appreciate the time you've taken to read this review. And, as always, I'd love to read your feedback on the product and/or my review!
Hope you are all well and enjoying Spring.

  1. You say that it's not the best evening mascara on the market... Are you kidding me?!? The last picture is what I want my lashes to look like after I put on my mascara! I'm definitely checking this one out! Thanks for the photos!

  2. Maybe I should have been a little more specific :P
You're definately right...it is great if you consider the price and the fact that it is a drugstore brand. My HG is(or at least it used to be)the Dior Show Blackout as far as evening/dramatic lashes go and that is why I thought it wasn't the best evening mascara in the market. Oh...let me know what you think when you try it. I'd love to know how it works out for other people :)

  3. oh I'm at the opposite site! I'm in love with Loreal's mascaras my HG drugstore mascara is Volume million lashes..the first mascara I've ever tried was maybelline's though...the result to your lushes is great..It really works on yours! Can't wait to tell us your impressions after a month's use!

  4. the result is quite impressing, i wouldn't try this though, because maybelline tests on animals. it's really sad :(

  5. I'm not at all a fan of Maybelline mascaras but thanks for the review! Kisses!

  6. I'm a fan of maybelline mascaras as well! I don't own this one, but I think it looks great on you for daytime wear! :) Thanks for the review and the photos, the wand looks kinda weird, huh? lol x

  7. @Demi : I have never tried any l'oreal mascaras. Maybe I should give it a try next time I am on the hunt for a mascara!thanks :)
I will definately let you know after I've used it for a while.

@Anastasia : See, I didn't know that. I will keep it in mind in the future.

    @Natalie: No problem!Thanks for the comment :D

@Stavroula: Thanks girlie. It kind of looks like a zeppelin doesn't it? It is ergonomical though...(omg...where did that word come from? :P)

  8. zeppelin... LOOOOOL!!! yeah it does look like one! oh it's easy to handle? cool! :D x

  9. Great review!!!

Yes, I can see where you're coming from abt it not being the absolute HG evening mascara you're looking for, but hey, it's not that bad actually huh?

Perhaps I should keep an eye out if and when I run out, lol! ;)

  10. @tina cheers dear!It is not bad...not at all!I have been using it lots lately and I have to say that I still like it a lot!Still not HG but very nice nonetheless! :)
